Like everything, you need to put in the work.

There are many ingredients to a successful YouTube channel, and there are a few points most successful YouTubers agree on. Björn’s neighbour is a kind person, a central figure in the community, a welcoming host and a passionate cook who is always innovating in the kitchen. She is a person other people are naturally drawn to. She lives on the edge of the forest, and she works in education.

Over the years, BPI had a few half-baked attempts at creating a YouTube cooking show. Still, they often ended unpublished after shoThe corona lockdown offered that opportunity. While stuck at home, Björn was looking for new ways to create content at his doorstep. The beautiful location, Nanami’s passion for cooking, her personal story and the general situation of the world, was calling for something inspiring. A cooking show that wasn’t just about food. A heartfelt, authentic and humble sharing of great dishes while surrounded by friends, family and nature.

Dapur Nanami Set

Inspired by the location and Nanami’s personality, Björn and Nanami quickly developed a rustic kitchen set and started filming. Soon 10 episodes were filmed and ready for edit. And this is where everything fell into place. BPI had just hired a local junior editor named Eka. Little did she know what she was in for. But with the support of the entire team at BPI, Eka has been able to bring the footage to life with her lazer sharp focus and her willingness to create a quality show.

While this project is still young and we are still learning how to make it better, it seems to have everything going for it. Most importantly, we can share some of Nanami’s warmth and wisdom with the world and hopefully inspire a few people along the way.

Dapur Nanami will be publishing new episodes every week on YouTube. You can also follow on Facebook and Instagram!
